Hello, I’m Ruth Watson
Starting therapy can be scary but I’m here to help. What I can offer you is a space to feel safe and supported to share your story.
“When I accept myself just as I am, then
I can change.”
Carl Rogers
A safe space…
I believe in the power of listening. Really listening and exploring your experiences in a safe and nurturing space where you can take a breath and process your story - maybe for the first time in your life.
Some Feedback
“Ruth is amazing, a great listener and has a real calming effect. She helped me to deal with situations and boosted my confidence. I feel a lot more relaxed and focused from when I first started.”

“I received counselling from Ruth and would wholeheartedly recommend her. She has a wonderful manner, warm and soothing. I hadn’t had any counselling before and I always felt like I was in safe hands with her. She listened carefully and helped me make changes which have improved my life.”
— Molly
“I have found the sessions incredibly beneficial, mentally, I am in a much better place than I was at first. When I first started looking for a therapist, I was a little overwhelmed and felt completely out of my comfort zone but Ruth turned this experience into a positive one for me.”

My Approach
I use an integrative approach - a combination of CBT, a Psychodynamic Approach, and Person Centred Counselling. I completed my training in Therapeutic Counselling with the Counselling & Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) and practice within The BACP’s Ethical Framework.
I also love to share my experiences and thoughts on counselling and wellbeing for the real world over on my Blog and YouTube channel.
